Delivery & Returns Information

Our Christmas delivery dates and opening times over the festive period are as follows;

  • Last Days to place an order for Guaranteed Christmas Delivery are; Mainland UK - Midday Tuesday 23rd December
    Ireland - Sunday 21st December
    Highlands - Thursday 18th December
    Europe - Wednesday 17th December
    - Any orders placed after this date and time will be shipped out speedily to try and get to you in time for Christmas, but the couriers can't guarantee it.
  • Last day for Water Butts from Graf, 3P Technik and Algreen is Monday 15th December.
  • Last day that we will be despatching orders will be Tuesday 23rd December
    -All orders placed from the 23rd December until 4th January will start being despatched from 5th January. Due to the holiday our deliver times will be longer than normal.
  • We will be closed from 25th December to 4th January Inclusive.
  • We will open and start despatching orders again from Monday 5th January

Standard Delivery Charges

We believe in transparency and simplicity when you place an order online. For that reason, we have a policy of making a single, flat-fee charge for postage and packaging depending on your location - however much you order.

Delivery Times

We pride ourselves on our reliable service and we're proud of our fast delivery and excellent stock control. Orders are generally despatched by courier service but depend on processing and despatch lead time in our warehouse. We're not here to mislead anyone - that's why when we're busy, we publish our extended lead times. Most orders will be delivered well inside this timescale but please allow the following :

UK Mainland (Standard UK Delivery Zone) Normally 3-7 working days
Scotland, Highlands and Grampians Normally  5-10 working days 
Northern Ireland & Offshore Islands Normally 5-10 working days


During promotional periods delivery times can be longer.

Delivery Methods

Our couriers are Yodel, Nightfreight (DX) and Parcel Force, but if you live in some remote parts of Scotland, in Northern Ireland, or on an offshore island; your goods may arrive by Royal Mail.



FAQs

What if I'm not in when they deliver?
Depending on the delivery method we've used we can instruct our couriers to leave goods in a convenient, safe place at your property (e.g. by the front door, or next to the garage). Alternatively - do not panic! We'll leave a little card through your letterbox and you can contact our couriers / the post office to arrange a convenient day/time. Alternatively, at the time of ordering, you can specify a separate alternative delivery address.

Can my delivery arrive at a certain time?
Unfortunately this is not possible given that the delivery routes are not calculated until the morning of delivery. But do not despair! As per the above question, we can leave it in a safe place for you. You can even specify a separate delivery address if you wish.



Returns


If you are not satisfied with any purchase from Water Butts Direct, you may return any products to us within 30 days of receipt providing that the product is in a resellable condition, this means that the product is not damaged, has not been used in any way and that the product is complete with the original packing material. If you are returning goods for any reason other than a fault or courier damage, it is the buyers responsibility to cover the cost of return. These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a customer.


Cancelling Orders
Orders can be cancelled by contacting us by phone on 01884 841515. If an order has been dispatched and the cancellation is due to the item no longer being required then it will be your responsibility to return the item or to cover the cost of the courier returning the item to us. Only once the product has been returned to us in as new condition with all the packaging will we refund the money owed.



Damaged Goods
Our couriers are generally very good but occasionally accidents do happen in transit and it is not realised until arrival. If you are in at the time of delivery, please give your goods a quick "once over" before signing for them. If an item is damaged, please reject the delivery and give us a call on 01884 841515 so we can sort out a replacement.

If a damaged item has been left whilst you were out, or you never noticed a fault at the time of delivery, please notify us within 7 working days and we'll get it sorted for you speedily and a replacement arranged. In some cases we might need to ask for an image of the fault to pass onto the manufacturer to access the damage.



Incomplete Orders
Although we all try hard to provide the best possible service, our production and despatch team are human. If, in a rare case, your order is not complete - please notify us on 01884 841515 as soon as possible.
